I first started working in Amazon through PMP Recruitment in November of 2010. I’d previously worked as an auditor for a well known chain of supermarkets and due to redundancy found myself looking for work. I identified that Amazon would be a positive place to seek employment and contacted PMP Recruitment in Swansea to discuss the possibility of starting work.
PMP Recruitment enabled me to start work in Amazon very quickly, helping me through the selection processes and then supporting me as I started work.
I initially began working in the Quality Control department but I also moved to work in other areas as time went by. All of the time, my PMP Recruitment reps, Alister and Arron, provided me with regular feedback and highlighted how I was getting along but they were also there when I needed anything. I was very driven to do well and they would often have to put up with me moaning if I’d made any mistakes.
After ten months, I was converted to work directly for Amazon on a permanent contract.
Since I’ve been working for Amazon I’ve moved to work within the Health and Safety department as a Safety Coordinator. Amazon has a huge range of possibilities for progression for people who are willing to put the work in and they do encourage people to advance.
I had never done anything similar to the roles I first had when I joined the company but the support I received from PMP Recruitment enabled me to settle and succeed.
