Congratulations to our Milton Keynes Branch and XPO onsite team who have raised over £1,000 for a range of charities close to their hearts.
In February this year the team set themselves the goal of raising much needed funds for local causes, some of the charities they have raised money for include;
Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes
The Walnut School in Milton Keynes who do amazing work children with autism
Sparks - XPO House of Fraser’s chosen charity who support children with rare diseases
MENCAP who dedicate their time to people with learning disabilities
As well as; Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research and Age Concern.
The team have now upped their goal to £2,000 which they hope to achieve by the end of the year through onsite activities such as cake bakes and sales, face painting, dress down days, and more.
Darron Blewitt, Regional Director, said; “The new target for our fundraising is going to be even more challenging, but together we can do it.”
XPO HOF site manager iLariana Mustacioara explained; “This is a fantastic accomplishment for us - at the time we felt raising funds would be challenging but we work with so many thoughtful people who want to make a difference.
Our team in Milton Keynes love the idea of giving back - we are heavily involved in XPO HOF’s sport and social club and our community charity work is key to that.”
iLariana added; “Giving is not about making a donation, it is about making a difference.”
The entire PMP family are very proud of what the team have achieved and wish them lots of luck in achieving their next goal.
